On the Second Sunday in Advent, our congregation gathered for one of the most cherished services in our Christmas calendar, the Annual Toy Service, led this year by Rev Pat Lennox.
The church was beautifully prepared for Advent, but nothing lit up the space quite like the sight of the many bags and bundles of gifts arranged along the communion rail. From toys and games to thoughtful treats for all ages, the generosity of our church family was unmistakable.
These donations support the East Belfast Mission Toy Appeal, which provides Christmas gifts to families across our community who may otherwise struggle at this time of year. Each toy represents not just a present under the tree, but a reminder of hope, dignity and love shared in Christ’s name.
Advent calls us to prepare room in our hearts, not only for Christ but for one another. The Toy Service is a practical expression of that call, and once again our congregation responded with overwhelming kindness.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed. Your gifts will make a real difference to families throughout East Belfast this Christmas.
